I'm glad you asked...

The secret to getting ahead is getting started...Start by asking for help.

We are here to help you understand your rights as a student with a disability and guide you in requesting accommodations.

Reach out to your College Advisor.

Reach out to your University "Office for Students with Disabilities"

Ask questions if and when you don't understand. Don't feel shy to ask the same question twice and use emails for a written record.

Don't know what questions to ask?

Here are a few of the most important questions:

  • How can I request accommodations for my courses?

  • What factors determine what accommodations I receive?

  • Do I have to inform every Professor of my disability?

  • Is there a University Testing Center?

Remember parents are an integral person on the team to student success, their input and understanding of how their son/daughter learns is very important!

Be cordial, and respectful and remember everyone is on the same team.
